Code of Ethics

The ED4S Code of Ethics establishes the principles, standards, and expected behaviors that guide all ED4S personnel in conducting activities with integrity, professionalism, and alignment with our mission to provide high‑quality sustainability education.

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

​

The ED4S Code of Ethics establishes the principles, standards, and expected behaviors that guide all ED4S personnel in conducting activities with integrity, professionalism, and alignment with our mission to provide high‑quality sustainability education. This Code applies to: 

​

  • All ED4S employees (full-time, part-time, contract) 

  • ED4S directors and officers 

  • Consultants, contractors, and partners working on behalf of ED4S

​

It complements ED4S’ Global Sustainability Policy, ED4S Third Party Policy, Data Protection Policy, Human Rights Policy, Equality and Diversity Policy, and Health & Safety Policy.

2. CORE ETHICAL PRINCIPLES

​

2.1 Integrity

We act honestly and transparently in every aspect of our work, ensuring that educational content, business operations, communications, and decisions reflect accuracy, fairness, and respect. 

​

2.2 Professional Responsibility

​We maintain the highest standards of professional conduct in delivering sustainability education. This includes respecting intellectual property, ensuring high-quality content, and engaging with clients responsibly.

 

2.3 Respect and Inclusion

​We treat everyone with dignity, fairness, and respect. We foster an inclusive, harassment-free environment and ensure that no individual is discriminated against based on personal characteristics or beliefs. 

​

2.4 Accountability​

We take responsibility for our actions and decisions. We acknowledge and address mistakes, communicate issues promptly, and hold ourselves accountable to ED4S policies and values. 

​

2.5 Sustainability Commitment â€‹

As a company dedicated to sustainability education, we integrate environmental and social considerations into our decisions, operations, and partnerships, and we avoid any practice that may undermine credibility in the sustainability sector. 

​

3. COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS AND INTERNAL POLICIES

​

All personnel must comply with: 

​

  • Applicable laws and regulations in all jurisdictions where ED4S operates 

  • ED4S internal policies (Sustainability, Data Privacy, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, Human Rights, Anti-Corruption, etc.) 

​

Non‑compliance must be reported immediately to the appropriate ED4S director. 

​

4. RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS CONDUCT 

​

4.1 Anti‑Corruption and Fair Dealing 

We do not tolerate bribery, corruption, kickbacks, or undue influence, this is also set out in our Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy. All commercial interactions must be fair, transparent, and compliant with our Policy. 

​

4.2 Conflict of Interest 

Any situation that may influence or appear to influence professional judgment must be declared. Personnel must avoid decisions that personally benefit them or associates, as outlined in the Conflict of Interest Policy. 

​

4.3 Confidentiality and Data Protection 

We protect all confidential and personal data entrusted to us, including client information, training content, and internal documentation. Disclosure is prohibited unless legally required. 

​

4.4 Intellectual Property Integrity 

We respect and properly reference external materials, ensure correct licensing, and protect ED4S intellectual property from misuse. 

​

5. QUALITY AND ACCURACY OF EDUCATIONAL CONTENT
 

All content must be evidence‑based, up‑to‑date, and aligned with recognized standards. 

We avoid misleading claims or exaggerations.

 

Expert contributors must adhere to academic and professional integrity. 

​

6. WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND BEHAVIOR

​

6.1 Professional Conduct

We maintain respectful, constructive, and ethical Behavior in all interactions; internally, with partners, and with clients. 

​

6.2 Anti‑Harassment and Anti‑Discrimination 

Harassment, bullying, or discriminatory behavior of any kind is strictly prohibited. 

​

6.3 Health & Safety 

We ensure safe working conditions, whether remote or in person, following the Health & Safety Policy. 

​

7. COMMUNICATION AND REPRESENTATION OF ED4S

​

7.1 Accurate Representation 

Employees must communicate factual, approved information when representing ED4S. Personal views must be clearly distinguished from official communications. 

​

7.2 Responsible Use of Technology and Social Media 

We use digital tools responsibly and protect ED4S’ reputation online. 

​

8. THIRD‑PARTY RELATIONSHIPS 

​

We work with suppliers, contractors, and partners that demonstrate ethical, sustainable, and responsible practices. ED4S may terminate relationships that violate these standards. 

​

9. REPORTING MISCONDUCT 

​

Personnel are encouraged to report concerns in good faith regarding:

​

  • Policy violations 

  • Unethical Behavior 

  • Conflicts of interest 

  • Corruption or fraud 

  • Harassment or unsafe conditions 

​

Reports may be made to any ED4S director. Retaliation against good-faith reporting is prohibited. 

​

10. ACCOUNTABILITY AND CONSEQUENCES 

​

Violations of this Code may result in corrective measures, including termination of contract or employment, depending on severity. 

​

11. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT 

​

All ED4S personnel must read, understand, and acknowledge this Code of Ethics annually to ensure ongoing compliance. 

​

This Code supports ED4S’ commitment to delivering credible, ethical, and socially responsible sustainability education.
