Education for Sustainability (ED4S) is pleased to announce that our Founder and CEO, Maria Maisuradze, will be joining a distinguished panel of industry leaders at the US SIF FORUM 2026 in Washington, DC, one of the leading gatherings for sustainable investing professionals in North America.

The discussion will explore a topic that is becoming increasingly important across wealth management and financial services: how technology can support financial advisors in delivering better client outcomes.

From Automation to Augmentation

Artificial intelligence is transforming nearly every aspect of financial services. Yet much of the conversation remains focused on automation, efficiency, and cost reduction.

At ED4S, we believe the more important question is:

How can technology augment human capabilities rather than replace them?

Financial advice remains fundamentally a human profession. Advisors are expected to navigate complex client needs, manage uncertainty, exercise professional judgment, communicate effectively, and build trust over time. These are skills that cannot simply be automated.

As firms evaluate the role of AI within advisor enablement, training, and client engagement, the focus should not only be on what technology can do, but also on how it can strengthen advisor competence and confidence.

Building Human Capability at Scale

This belief has shaped the development of AdvisorSim, ED4S's AI-powered readiness assessment platform.

While many AI solutions focus on content delivery or chatbot interactions, AdvisorSim was designed to address a different challenge: measuring and developing advisor readiness.

The platform enables financial institutions to assess advisors against structured evaluation criteria and identify potential gaps in areas such as:

  • Client discovery and needs assessment

  • Product knowledge and due diligence

  • Suitability and portfolio alignment

  • Question handling and communication

  • Regulatory and compliance considerations

Rather than simply providing information, the platform helps organizations understand whether advisors can effectively apply knowledge in realistic client scenarios.

This shift from training completion to demonstrated readiness represents an important evolution in advisor development.

Why This Matters for Sustainable Investing

Sustainable investing provides a compelling example of this challenge.

Investor interest in sustainability-related topics continues to evolve, yet many advisors report uncertainty when discussing client values, sustainability preferences, product characteristics, stewardship approaches, and potential trade-offs.

The challenge is rarely access to information.

The challenge is confidence, judgment, and practical application.

Advisors need opportunities to practice difficult conversations, receive meaningful feedback, and understand where skills gaps exist before engaging with clients.

This is where simulation-based learning and readiness assessments can play an important role.

Contributing to Industry Capacity Building

Over the past several years, ED4S has worked with financial institutions, asset managers, regulators, industry associations, and educational organizations to advance sustainability literacy and professional capability.

Our initiatives have included:

  • Sustainable investing education programs

  • Advisor readiness assessments

  • AI-enabled simulations

  • Professional development workshops

  • Capacity-building frameworks for financial institutions

  • Research and practical implementation guides

Most recently, our team invested more than 150 hours developing a comprehensive Sustainable Investing Advisor Playbook, a practical implementation guide designed to help advisors integrate sustainability considerations into existing advisory workflows.

The guide includes practical tools covering client discovery, portfolio construction, product evaluation, suitability, documentation, and ongoing client engagement.

Looking Ahead

We are honored to contribute to this important conversation at US SIF Forum 2026 and to join fellow leaders who are shaping the future of sustainable investing and advisor enablement.

As AI adoption accelerates across financial services, organizations have an opportunity to move beyond a technology-first mindset and focus on a more important objective:

Developing better professionals.

At ED4S, we remain committed to helping organizations build the skills, confidence, and readiness required to navigate an increasingly complex financial landscape.

If you will be attending the US SIF Forum, we look forward to connecting and continuing the conversation.
